In the world of Rodia, a powerful creature without a heart is sealed away in underground tunnels by owls. According to prophecy, this creature will be freed when a 'pure child' is born, leading to a chain of events that the player must navigate to overcome its consequences.

Baldo features a unique blend of exploration, combat, and puzzle-solving, with a strong emphasis on storytelling and atmospheric visuals inspired by Studio Ghibli's films. The game was released on August 27, 2021, for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Microsoft Windows, iOS, and macOS through Apple Arcade.

Despite being initially scheduled to release in summer 2020 as a timed console exclusive on the Nintendo Switch, Baldo was indefinitely delayed in September of that year. However, its eventual release has been well-received by fans of the Zelda series and action-adventure games alike.
